Master Chief is quite literally the foundation on which the Xbox brand was built, and next month, you’ll have the chance to play all four Halo numbered titles released till date, updated for Xbox One. It’s not like they are just slapping in the four titles in a box and shipping it out, though. All games are getting resolution (1080p), lighting and frame rate (60 fps) upgrades, which means that you can now gush over Cortana in full HD. The visual upgrades are a massive overhaul for the first two games in the series, and along with the upgrades to the last two titles, should make them all well worth another playthrough. Plus, all games will feature full multiplayer components, with the older games being updated to keep with the times.
Owners of the Master Chief Collection will also get their hands on some new content, including Halo: Nightfall, an original show based on the series, as well as access to the three week multiplayer beta of Halo 5: Guardians which releases next year – from 29th December to 18th January.
If you are a Halo fan, this is a no-brainer, and for those who haven’t experienced this excellent series till now, this is the perfect opportunity to jump in.
